Discover More

At Love and Learning Child Care, we do more than provide supervision — we create a place where children are deeply known, nurtured, and empowered. As a play-based childcare center grounded in the Reggio Emilia philosophy, our goal is to honor the individuality of each child and build learning experiences that foster curiosity, confidence, and creativity.

Our center is locally owned and family-operated, serving children from 6 weeks to 12 years of age. We’ve created a space where families feel connected and children feel at home — a place where exploration is encouraged, imaginations flourish, and every voice is heard.

Our History – From Home Roots to a Community-Focused Center

Love and Learning Child Care began in March 2019 when Jenny Adams opened a small in-home program in Henefer. With over 25 years of experience working with children of all ages, she sought to create an intentional space centered on connection, kindness, and developmental growth.

In May 2022, the program became state-licensed, responding to the overwhelming demand for licensed daycare in the community. By spring of 2023, the program had outgrown its original home and transitioned into a full-service center in Coalville. Today, with two locations and a growing team of dedicated educators, Love and Learning Child Care continues to thrive — serving families with professionalism, compassion, and purpose.

At Love and Learning, we build the whole child by loving them first. From that foundation of safety and connection, we guide children through mindful and meaningful play experiences that support all areas of development — intellectual, emotional, physical, and social.

We believe learning should be joyful. By creating play-rich, child-centered environments, we support the development of children who are confident, expressive, and ready to take on the world with curiosity and resilience.

Our Core Values

Our values are not just words — they are lived out each day in our classrooms, interactions, and curriculum design:

What is the Reggio Emilia Approach?

As a Reggio Emilia daycare, we follow an educational philosophy that sees children as strong, capable, and full of potential. This approach values experiential learning, collaboration, and environments that act as the "third teacher" — supporting growth through design and intentionality.

Key elements of our Reggio-inspired program include:

  • Child-led learning

Children pursue topics and questions that interest them.

  • Project-based exploration

Learning is organized around deep, meaningful investigations.

  • Teacher as collaborator

Educators observe, support, and extend children’s ideas, rather than directing them.

  • Documentation

Children’s thoughts and work are recorded and displayed to make learning visible.

  • Relationship-driven environments

Classrooms support emotional safety and encourage peer collaboration.

This philosophy aligns beautifully with early childhood education goals and helps children gain foundational skills for lifelong success.

Nature-Based Learning in Action

Our learning doesn't stop at the classroom door. Both of our Coalville locations offer expansive outdoor environments where children engage with the natural world. From water tables and sand pits to dramatic play stages and loose parts areas, we believe nature is one of the most powerful learning tools.

Our outdoor classrooms encourage:

This nature-based learning builds confidence, creativity, and a deeper connection to the world around us.
